Senior HR Officer (Recruitment & IR)

Senior HR Officer (Recruitment & IR) required by pharmaceuticals company based in Cape Town. 3+ Years’ experience in a similar role with a HR qualification, experience with bulk recruitment, building talent pools, knowledge of Labour Legislation and other related Legislations are required. This is an EE role.
  • Support staff and managers on IR process and in preparing for disciplinary or incapacity interventions
  • Follow up on required and/ or outstanding IR interventions to ensure conclusion thereof
  • Ensures company precedence is consistently maintained and mitigate risks
  • Execute offer management and on boarding of new joiners
  • Managing ad-hoc HR administrator requests
  • Ensures that all assessments are co-ordinated with candidates and line manager filed and loaded onto SharePoint
  • Complete, check and file HR documents to ensure sufficient, compliant, and accurate documentation is in place accurately and confidentially
  • Schedule & attend on boarding & exit interviews
  • Ensures new starter checklist is in place and all documents are in place within first month of employee joining
  • Be accountable for proactive research mapping, utilising best in market channels and sourcing capability, to drive the identification of technical, data and highly sought-after talent
  • Partner with the hiring leads and people business partners to develop a robust understanding of the business, its core disciplines, capability requirements and what makes an individual exceptional in the environment in order to refine the talent pipeline and shortlists so as to drive a world-class ‘sourced to hire’ ratio
  • Initiate and implement creative solutions to source, engage and hire exceptional talent and share market trends and talent intelligence relating to the attraction and retention of scarce and critical in-demand talent
  • 3 years’ relevant HR experience.
  • Degree/ Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Experience with bulk recruitment and building talent pools
  • Basic understanding of legislation relating to documentation (BCEA/ LRA/ POPI)
  • Good understanding of policies and legislation
  • Understanding theoretical and practical implementation of HR related policies
  • Knowledge and understanding of Labour Legislation (BCEA/ LRA/ B-BBEE, etc)
